Miguel, Brian, and Kaleb

DOB 2/09/05, 09/02/06, and 09/04/07

Miguel is a very busy six year old boy. He weighs 56.5 lbs and is 49” tall. He is in 1st grade and likes school, but does struggle academically. Miguel enjoys school, swimming, bike riding, video games, watching TV and playing computer games. Miguel is talkative and wants to do everything. He is involved with Boy Scouts and has played T-ball. He would also like to play other sports, take karate lessons, as well as drum and guitar lessons. Miguel would like to have a family that would go on bike rides and camp. Miguel is diagnosed with ADD and takes medication. He has difficulties with writing assignments and is behind his peers with his academics. He has made a lot of improvement in school. Miguel enjoys being around adults and would prefer to be with adults rather than his peers. He likes to do adult chores, including parenting his siblings.

Brian is an active loveable five year old boy. He weighs 53lbs. and is 45” tall. He has some delays but has a good memory. Brian remembers directions, places he has been before and excels at the Memory game. He has recently accomplished toilet training, but still wears a pull-up to bed. Brian is on an IEP. He has a speech therapist and occupational therapist that he works with weekly. Brian played T-Ball with the Abilities League this summer and really enjoyed it. Brian also enjoys swimming, riding his bike, and his Fisher Price Four wheeler. He especially likes transportation vehicles, such as helicopters, police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, semi- trucks, etc. Brian is good at mimicking and will often help the adults “fix” things around the house with his set of play tools. He loves to watch TV but this needs to be limited. Brian can be rough especially to younger children and animals.

Kaleb is an adorable healthy four year old boy. He weighs 40lbs and is 39” tall. He attends preschool and is on an IEP for speech. He was working with a speech therapist outside of school; however, due to the progress Kaleb has made, he no longer needs the additional speech services. Kaleb likes to swim, ride his bike and his Fisher Price Four Wheeler. He also enjoys music and likes to strum on his guitar and he will pretend to sing in the microphone and dance. Kaleb enjoys playing with his older brothers and will follow them around and play what they are playing.

Miguel, Brian, and Kaleb need a permanent home. They will most likely need counseling in the future, assistance in school, and services for delays. The boys have been in the same foster home since November 2009. It is their only placement and they are attached to the foster parents. The permanent custody is in appeal.
