Michael and Isabella

DOB July 21, 2009

Double the fun! Isabella and Michael are delightfully playful twins with lots of personality. Isabella has a big smile and grey/blue eyes that sparkle with each smile. Isabella is a very determined little lady that gets around the house in her walker and any other way she can.

Michael’s big brown eyes are frequently fixed on his sister and he loves to watch her move around the room. Isabella is very cautious of strangers and looks to her foster family for comfort, but once she feels comfortable she is all smiles and giggles.

Michael is friendly the moment he meets anyone and his curiosity keeps him from being shy.

These little ones were born at 29 weeks and despite a rough start, they are both growing and thriving. Both babies have some special health needs that will need attention as they grow and develop. Both babies are working with an early intervention specialist to assist them with some developmental delays associated with their premature birth.

Anyone interested in adopting Michael and Isabella will need to have a good understanding of developmental delays and be committed to working with therapists to help the twins over this hurdle. Both babies have a heart murmur and Michael’s will need surgery to correct it, but he has a good chance at having no further issues once the surgery is complete. Isabella’s heart murmur is being monitored and at this time, no surgery is being recommended. The foster parents are interested in adoption.
